In the summer of 2013, Shooki Grasiani and his wife were on holiday, with just one thing on their agenda: to enjoy themselves. All of Madrid’s museums and restaurants weren’t enough to lure them away from a city park, because they were fascinated, watching children playing with bubbles!

So began the endless search for “the perfect solution” (pun intended) to create “next level” bubbles. Shooki found that existing products – from retail stores or online – couldn’t stand up to his vision. One evening after dinner, Shooki took his product (still in development) directly to the target audience. He and his kids began to play with the giant bubbles in front of the house, and soon, the neighborhood children joined in, filling the air with squeals of laughter. Their parents came outside to see what was creating the joyful fun. Lawn chairs and cold drinks were brought out, and neighbors met each other, some for the first time.

The very next evening, good friend Ron Weizman and his family came for dinner. Shooki couldn’t wait to share “the bubble experience” with Ron, who was running his family’s chemical distribution business. The “Dad” in Ron connected to the possibilities immediately. When Shooki suggested, “Let’s start an adventure together,” it was an instant “Yes!”

For the next two years, the bubble Dads met in Ron’s warehouse, early on Sunday mornings, before “family time,” to experiment with different formulas. Finally, after thousands of unamazing bubbles, the solution had been tweaked to perfection, and it was time to test the market. At every festival, community event and trade show that Ron and Shooki attended, the WOWmazing booth swarmed with customers! Product sold out. The buzz was loud and clear.

And so the two friends launched South Beach Bubbles on July 4, 2016. “At first, we thought we would need a couple of shelves to store product,” says Ron, “but we’re actually living out a dream. Our heartfelt goal is to make happy hour a bubbly festival for the whole family. We’re inviting people to join this outdoor movement, to go outside and play the old-fashioned way!”
